Uses

For eye disease.

Instructions

DO NOT take this medicine by mouth.

Ask your doctor, nurse or pharmacist to show you how to use this medicine correctly.

Remove makeup and wash face before using.

If you use contact lenses, remove the contacts before using the medicine. Wait 15 minutes after using the medicine before putting the contacts back on.

Apply the medicine to each upper eye lid.

Apply one drop of the medicine on the applicator provided. Carefully pull the applicator across the lash line of the upper eyelid, moving from the inner toward the outer part of the eye. Place medicine on the other eye using a new applicator.

Use the medicine immediately after placing it on the applicator.

Use a clean tissue or cotton ball to blot away any medicine that goes beyond the eyelid.

Discard applicator after using on one eye. Do not reuse.

Do not place this medicine directly into the eye.

If you get the medicine in the eyes, do not rinse. Since this medication may be used in the eye for other conditions, it should cause no harm.

Do not touch the tip of the container with your hands or let it touch other surfaces. This can cause a serious eye infection.

Keep the medicine at room temperature. Avoid heat and direct light.

This medicine should only be used on the skin.

Avoid getting the medicine in the eyes, nose, or mouth. Wash the medicine off your fingers after applying it.

Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting or stopping any medicine.

Keep all appointments for medical exams and tests while on this medicine.

Do not take the medicine more than once during 24 hours.

Cautions

Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine.

Tell your doctor about all your medical conditions before starting this medicine, especially other eye conditions.

Do not use the medication any more than instructed.

It is unknown if this medicine passes into breast milk. Ask your doctor before breastfeeding.

During pregnancy, this medicine should be used only when clearly needed. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits.

If you forget a dose, you may skip it and continue your regular schedule.

Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.

Seek medical attention if you see any signs of a serious infection. These signs include pain, increasing redness or pus where this medicine is being used.

Side Effects

The following is a list of some common side effects from this medicine. Please speak with your doctor about what you should do if you experience these or other side effects.

  • hair growth
  • itching, redness or dryness of eyes

Call your doctor or get medical help right away if you notice any of these more serious side effects:

  • eye pain or swelling
  • color changes in the eyes and eyelids
  • signs of new or worsening eye infection, such as thick drainage or crusting
  • blurring or changes of vision

A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
